Decisión tomada / Decision made

Tome una decisión, ya se como quiero que mis enanos se despidan de sus biberones. Tome la idea que tenia y las sugerencias que me dieron (gracias a todas!) y esto es lo que hare:

(1)    Contarles a los chicos que nuestro jardín es mágico. Que tenemos un árbol donde viven las hadas. Y hacer una primera búsqueda del árbol mágico. (Esto lo hemos hecho hoy y Tim se metió de lleno a la historia. Incluso ‘escucho’ a una de las hadas esconderse).

(2)    Crear el árbol mágico con algún tipo de decoración que lo destaque. (La primera foto tiene los elementos importantes: la carta de las hadas a los chicos pidiéndoles ayuda, un dibujo del hada de los biberones y un dibujo de un biberón. Todas estas imágenes ayudaran cuando les lea la carta pidiéndoles ayuda). Leer la carta bajo el árbol mágico.

(3)    Regresar a la casa con la carta y leerla nuevamente. Insistir en lo importante que es ayudar a la hada y que importante deben sentirse ellos de haber sido elegidos para ayudar.

(4)    Antes de ir a dormir, llevar los biberones al árbol mágico y atarlos a las ramas y dejarlos ahí por la noche. Luego llevar a los chicos a la cama y a dormir se ha dicho.

(5)    Cuando los chicos estén dormidos ir a recoger los biberones y dejar los paquetes con sus tazas y regalitos. Los biberones se irán de inmediato al basurero para evitar la tentación de los padres en caso al día siguiente las cosas no salgan como una espera. GLUP!

(6)    A la mañana siguiente, llevar a los chicos a ver si los biberones se han ido y si el hada se acordó de dejar sus regalitos. Tres cartelitos estarán colgados del arbolito: Gracias, Tim y Luna. Así saben de quien es cada paquetito.

Espero que las cosas salgan bien y ya les cuento como nos fue. J

I have made a decision and I know how I want my kiddos to say goodbye to their baby bottles. I took the original idea I had and the suggestions given (thanks for that!) and this is what I will do:

(1)    I will tell the kids that we have a magic garden. We have a tree where fairies live. Go looking for the magic tree but not find it yet. (We have done this today and Tim got very much involved, he even ‘heard’ one of the fairies hiding!)

(2)     Create the magic tree with some kind of decoration that makes it stand out. (The first picture has the important elements: Letter from the fairies to the kids asking for their help, a picture of the fairy and a picture of a bottle. All these images will help when I read the story to them.) Read the letter under the magic tree.

(3)    Go back home and read the letter again. Insist on the importance of helping the fairy and that they should feel lucky for being asked to help.

(4)    Before going to bed, take bottles to the magic tree and tie them on some branches. Leave them there for the fairy to find at night. Take kids back home and bedtime!

(5)    When kiddies are asleep pick bottles up and leave their cups and gifts. Bottles will go straight in the bin to avoid temptation in case things don’t go as planned the next morning. GULP!

(6)    Next morning, take kids to magic tree and check if fairy has come. There will be three signs: Thank you, Tim and Luna. This way they know the fairy came and labeled their presents.
