Celebrando su santo / Celebrating his birthday

Hay cosas que hacen de mi vida una maravilla, una de esas es ver a mis hijos felices. El domingo celebramos el cumpleaños de Tim por adelantado con sus amiguitos. Desde el sábado en la noche todo era un continuo entusiasmo y sonrisa, solo preguntaba si ya iba a ser su fiesta y si sus amigos irían. Luego de decirle nombre por nombre quienes irían me hizo una pregunta que me enterneció muchísimo: ‘mis amigos me van a dar un abrazo mama?’. No pregunto si es que le iban a llevar un regalo sino si le iban a dar un abrazo. Mi chiquito es así, adora a sus amigos y adora los cariños.

El domingo despertó emocionado pues sabia que íbamos a tener su fiesta. Se despertó temprano y desde las 8am quería que lo aliste para salir, pues quería ver a sus amigos. Llegamos y estaba feliz de ver a todos sus amigos, casi ni atención a que llegaban con regalos. Jajaja. Una vez ahí la paso muy bien, si bien es cierto paso un buen tiempo viendo tele (hay una tele grande en el playcentre) también tuvo oportunidad de jugar con sus amigos y divertirse.

Lo mejor de la fiesta fue el cantar feliz cumpleaños, estaba súper emocionado, dirigía a todos con sus brazos como un director de orquesta, de ahí cuando terminaron de cantarle hubo un momento de silencio y grito ‘es mi santo!’ pobre mi enano había esperado tanto tiempo para poder celebrar su cumpleaños! Estaba feliz! Y por ende yo también.

Después de la fiesta, aprovechando el clima soleado y seco nos fuimos con algunos de sus amiguitos al parque por unas dos horas mas, de ahí me los lleve al cine a ver La Era del Hielo 4. Estaban felices. Mis hijos la pasaron genial y yo no deje de sonreír todo el día. De regreso a casa, abrimos los regalos. Le encanto. Luna estaba un poco inquieta pues ella también quería regalos, lo bueno es que como habían varios, pues tenía chance de jugar con unos juguetes y se apodero de unos chocolatitos que llegaron por ahí también. Así que ella feliz.

A las siete de la noche cayeron rendidos, tuvieron un día maravilloso y aun falta más, mañana es el cumpleaños de Tim y será lindo, tendremos la celebración en casa en la mañana antes del nido y tendrá una fiesta más en el nido con todos sus amiguitos. J Me encanta verlo sonreír!

There are things in life that make it wonderful; one of them is to see my children happy. On Sunday we celebrated Tim’s birthday with his friends. Since Saturday night it was nothing but excitement and smiles all around. He kept on asking if his party was tomorrow and if his friends were coming. After telling name after name each guests’ name he asked me a question that made my heart melt: ‘will my friends give me a cuddle mum?’ He didn’t ask for a present but for a cuddle from his friends. That is the kind of boy my son is, he loves his friends and loves cuddles.

He woke up Sunday very excited as he knew he was having his party. He woke early and from 8am he wanted me to get him ready to go. We got there and he was happy to welcome all his friends, he barely noticed they came with presents. Once there, he had a great time, yes, he also spent quite a bit of time watching telly (they have a big TV at the play centre) but he also had the chance to play and have fun.

The best bit of the party was when we sang Happy Birthday to him, he got really excited and was waving his arms about as if he was directing an orchestra, when we finished there was a moment of silence and he yelled out ‘it’s my birthday!’ he had waited for such a long time to celebrate his birthday. He was happy and so was I.

After the party, taking advantage of the sunny dry day we went with some of his friends to the park for a couple of hours. After that I took my kids to the movie to watch Ice Age 4. My children were very happy and I hadn’t been able to stop smiling all day. When we got home, we opened his presents. He loved it. Luna was a bit uneasy as she also wanted to open presents but there were enough for her to play with and also she managed to get a hold of some chocolates so was very happy.

At seven they were shattered and went to bed. They had a lovely day and there is more to come, tomorrow, Wednesday, is Tim’s birthday, so we will have some celebrations at home before he goes to school and then he will have another party at school with his friends. J I love to see him smile!
