De vuelta al trabajo / Back to work

Cruzando deditos.

No, I haven’t started teaching again, but we have had a few days of peace and quiet and a bit of ‘nothing’. It is important to have days filled with ‘nothing’ because it is then that I get a chance to organize my head and put my priorities in order.

After two days of mental break in which no ‘educational’ activity took place to say it somehow, I decided that today was the day to put the Bottle Fairy plan in motion. I had to modify the original plan slightly as we’ve had continuous rain and the grounds are just too wet to be looking for a Fairy Tree.  So the Fairy Tree has been changed with the idea that fairies come into our home without being seen to look for the big children’s bottles. I spent all day ‘looking for’ their bottles as I ‘didn’t know’ where they were and then all of the sudden Tim found a letter in his bedroom, it was a letter from the Bottle Fairy.

We read the letter and I explained that it was in fact the fairy that took their bottles to give them to little babies and that tomorrow when they wake up they would have to look for the presents the fairy was going to leave them. I have never seen them fall asleep so quickly in my life. I’ve organized the presents, the new bottles, the balloons and the bags of sweets and toys. All ready and waiting for the morning, I will tell you how we get on in the morning. Fingers crossed.
